Youth Activities
Boys
and Girls Club of Greater Derry
Derry Garden Club member Blanche Garone and
staff member Kim Trull meet with members of the
Torch Club at the Boys and Girls Club of
Greater Derry to plan a youth vegetable garden
at the Club.
The Garden Project is part of a Club initiative
promoting health and wellness among its
members. Club members will begin by testing the
soil and laying out the design of the garden.
In late Spring they will prepare and plant the
garden, which is located at the Club on
Hampstead Road.
During the summer they will tend the garden,
followed by the harvesting of the vegetables
for their consumption.
