| At 7 a.m. the
Derry Garden Club girls were all set bringing out the plants that had been
sorted by sun and shade and priced the night before. The sun even cooperated this year and came out! We had sooo many different kinds of plants and by10 a.m. most of them were already gone. By noon time we started our mark downs. Buy one and get one free. This year our popular perennial was the Purple Iris. We had about 100 pots of them! By 1:30 most of everything was gone to a good home. At 2 the sweet girl, Maria, came from the Manchester Animal Rescue League and hauled off all our plants, and she was very happy and so were't we. Don't forget to mark your calendar for Saturday, June 7, rain or shine, from 10 - noon for the "Annual Recycling Pots" at the Marion Gerrish Community Center, Broadway, Derry.
